Hi everybody! I am so sorry to disappear for so long and then return only to demand things. HOWEVER, before I can start doing the column again for Jezebel again, I need to get a few things squared away in bookworld, where things are proceeding apace, NAMELY: to get the few covers that I, astonishingly enough, do not have in my possession. If you have any of these, and have access to a scanner and KNOW how to scan things at 600 dpi, I would be VERY GRATEFUL to receive any of the below. I will pre-tell you you are great and wonderful, though I did think that already. You can email them to me at jezziefinelines@gmail.com. LIST: 1. Daughters of Eve I'm looking for the 80s version -- it's a painted illustration of a photo, with Irene at the center holding a candle surrounded by the girls. They're in a classroom, and Bambi looks very B ambi. 2. Summer of Fear This has a cover of a redhead looking in a mirror with a HORRIFIED expression. I only have the bent-est oldest copy and they want a cleaner one. It's a zillion years old and I can't imagine anyone has it, but here's hoping. 3. I Am The Cheese Anyone have the green Dell Yearling with sort of a profile of a boy on a bike? Movie tie-in okay too; I like both. 4. Homecoming Just that original Homecoming one, with the Tillermans all hanging near a beach. Are they on a log, maybe? 5. My Darling, My Hamburger Anyone have the really old black and white illustrated one, with the two girls almost in silhouette? Very arty, late 70s. It's quite melancholy and basically makes me cry right away. 6. An Old-Fashioned Girl There's an old hardcover jacket that has Polly at the center; it's pink and was probably the 1940s one. Accepting all comers here. 7. THE WOLVES OF WILLOUGHBY CHASE Anyone have the one next to the Jezebel column? 8. CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN Anyone have either the original or the 80s paperback reprints with, again, the painted illustrations of photos? 9. BELLES ON THEIR TOES DITTO REMEMBER, the sooner I get these, the sooner I can review "If This is Love, I'll Take Spaghetti"! You can also always write me at jezziefinelines@gmail.com with anything you feel I need to know. See you soon on Jezebel and elsewhere, xoxox Lizzie Also, if anyone knows how to make my whole computer stop doing a read underline wiggly line on every other word, that's great too. Nothing to do with the book, but key to my mental health.
